The NATIONAL NAVAL AVIATION MUSEUM
is just 10 miles from Eden Condominiums.
The museum is located aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola [left]. Exhibits include record-setting aircraft like the NC-4 flying boat, the first plane to fly across the Atlantic, as well as combat veterans, including the SBD Dauntless that flew at the Battle of Midway, two Vietnam MiG-killers, an A-7 Corsair II that logged missions over Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and the last F-14 Tomcat to fly a combat mission.
The National Naval Aviation Museum is the world's largest Naval Aviation museum and one of the most-visited museums in the state of Florida. Opened in 1996, the Cubi Bar Café is not only a restaurant, but a popular Museum exhibit! The Cafe's décor and layout duplicates the bar area of the famous Cubi Point Officers' Club that was a major source of enjoyment for Navy and Marine Corps squadrons, ships and units as they passed into the Western Pacific.
